Villeneuve Airport (ZVL) is the premier general aviation airport and flight training facility in the Edmonton Region.
ZVL’s infrastructure is built for pilot training: two runways and taxiways, a NAV CANADA control tower and an instrument landing system (ILS).

Sturgeon Collegiate’s Aviation Pathway offers students a unique opportunity to begin their journey toward a career in aviation — starting in high school. This specialized program blends hands-on aviation training, dual-credit post-secondary courses, and rigorous academic instruction, ensuring students are both technically skilled and academically prepared.
Through this collaboration, students gain early exposure to aviation careers, earning high school and post-secondary credits while training at one of the region’s premier general aviation facilities.
